Brief History of Our Club
Blue Mountain Fish & Game Association was started in May of 1946 by a handful of local men who
had an interest in sportsmanship, and in the years to come, grew into a Sportsman Association.
In 1961 they built a 3 acre lake at the site of the present Club. In 1971, they built the present
Club Hall and sold the old Club Hall located off Route 956 in Danielsville, Pennsylvania.
The Club keeps growing as the years pass. In 1998 a refreshment stand with a small patio was built
at the lake. This replaced the old stand that was built out of used and left over lumber and materials that members had laying
around.
Currently, the Club facilities consist of 46 acres that host a Rifle Range with 25, 40, 50
and 100 yard backstops. Also, we have Archery practice butts at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards plus targets set up on a trail
in the woods.
Our 3 acre lake is stocked with 12" and larger trout, as well as bass and catfish. There are also
quarries on the property that have trout, bass, bluegill and crappie in them. Currently, however, there is NO FISHING ALLOWED
in the quarries.
We allow hunting on the property for deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel and stocked ringneck pheasants.
